Milan Design week is nearly upon us and the suspense is high! As the hype builds, and invitations come rolling in, we’re taking a look at some of the best places to stay with that extra bit of design flair, so you have a sanctuary to come back to after a busy day at Salone del Mobile Milano.

For the Fashionistas…without the luxury price tag: For striking visual impact, our fave on the list is Room Mate Giulia. Placed right in the centre, practically next to the Duomo, it’s the ultimate destination to make the most of everything on offer. It’s so nice you’ll have a hard time leaving each day for Salone.

For the thrifty bargain hunters: Airbnb is the saviour of Salone. With rooms from as little as £40 per night, to whole apartments overlooking some of Milan’s best architecture, there’s something for everyone. Airbnb is PENSON’s go to, and after cramming 10 of us into one apartment last year, we’re always going to champion this easy option!

For the Spa Lovers: From the long days to the late nights, after a week of walking, socialising, and seeing, relaxation is the light at the end of the tunnel! Nothing beats coming back from Salone, and sinking into the haven of Boscolo Milano’s Turkish baths and Finnish sauna.

For the Instagram Gurus: Poised with cameras at the ready for the best shots for social media, each floor in NYX Milan offers a different backdrop of incredible murals and graffiti – designed by some of Milan’s greatest street art aficionados – it’s perfect for documenting your stay.

For a bit of everything: For an all-encompassing design experience, the Palazzo Segreti serves up all the design inspiration; think industrial elegance with pockets of bold colour – your inner design addict will be dancing with appreciation. This is one for all the concrete lovers too.
