Not content with leading the PENSON team and designing spaces for the largest global brands, Lee has been exploring a new venture into the world of Historic and Classic Motorsport, one of the fastest-growing sectors of global motorsport.

Lee has recently fully restored a beautiful and rare Lotus Elan 26r race car and a stellar team took the car for a spin at Belgium’s famous Spa Francorchamps circuit back in September 2019. This new venture is not only very cool but it’s vitally important in terms of the history of motorcars and the Lotus Car brand.

A website is just what these glorious cars needed...

Unveiling this new website, PENSON Motorsport offers a 'behind-the-scenes' glimpse into Lee's labour of love; the restoration of the 3 important Lotus cars to exquisite race standards; his international race events; and the chance to experience for yourself his incredible collection of racecars...

Debuting at Historic Spa in 2019, his Lotus Elan is a masterpiece of finely honed skill and attention to detail, while his 1962 Lotus 26 will be unveiled later this year.

Lee Penson, PENSON CEO & Founder of PENSON Motorsport 2020 commented -

'2020 is a big year for PENSON's global design & our property investment group - with roll-outs and new joint ventures across the US and Europe. It’s equally exciting for PENSON Motorsport with 'unfinished business' to conclude at Spa Six Hours in our Elan. Le Mans Historique’ presents an exciting opportunity to compete in our newly restored Lotus 23, and with other entries in our important Lotus’ - hopefully with some Goodwood Revival action too. Winter is spent flat out in workshops - restoring and preparing two new cars ready for testing in March. It's all going to be such fun!'
