As a team of interior designers we always look for opportunities to take a sneak peek at tomorrow’s trendy creations. And how could we not? New technology and innovative ideas inspire us to create intelligent, beautiful and tailored designs PENSON is known for. With this in mind, this week we decided to share our favourite major design events that are going to take place in the next few months. So if you’re always on a hunt for smart and eye-catching designs like us, here is a list of the most vibrant and famous gatherings you should be a part of!
Stockholm Design Week Feb 2-8
An event offering architects, designers, bloggers and journalist from all over the world a chance to discover the freshest Scandinavian design around: you can find everything from promising design school graduates, independent designers to established furniture and lighting companies. Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic and Finnish participants aside, it’s worth to mention that 1/3 of the exhibitors are international, so it’s not all halla (hello in Swedish) and tack (thank you in Swedish). Also, a number of design and music event take place in connection with the fair, so the city’s going to be buzzing!

Milan Design Week Apr 14-19
Milan design week is hinged around Milan Furniture fair. Since its first appearance in the early 60s this fair grew into the largest trade fair of its kind in the world, occupying a space about one-half the area of Vatican City (showrooms everywhere!). Visiting Milan in April will grant you the chance to see a vibrant city with many decorated streets and interesting exhibition venues throughout. Make sure to book your ticket a while in advance!

Clerkenwell Design Week May 19-21
With “more architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet” Clerkenwell* is a truly relevant design hub. Every year international design community flocks to this tiny area of London to visit a number of pop-up exhibitions, showroom events, parties and installations. This year with 60 showrooms within four focused exhibitions, Clerkenwell Design Week will continue to present high-profile UK and internaitonal brands as well as up-an-coming designers.
