LEE invited to speak at MIPIM 2017
By Rosie FurlongJealousy is rife in the PENSON office as CEO Lee is leaving the dreary UK & jetting off to Cannes for the annual MIPIM Property Market event, 14th – 17th March.
Lee has been selected to contribute to the leading premier real estate event in Palais des Festivals, Cannes, on the 16th March to talk about game-changer project, JO&JOE. The meteoric rise of JO&JOE on the hospitality scene has placed the concept at the forefront of the industry, and people are noticing. In fact, AccorHotels have now created a new lifestyle division to grab the attention of the millennials’ target market, who are increasingly proving to be leading demand in game-changing new experiences & hospitality concepts. The Airbnb generation are demanding more. PENSON have already predicted the future by co-creating the JO&JOE ‘Open House’ for those who seek more than adventure & experience. This is proving to be a targeted move as millennials are expected to be the biggest single group of hotel customers by 2020.
Lee will be one amongst the most influential players from all sectors of the international property industry. The event is renowned for gathering the most significant investors, developers, Hotel groups and market disrupters alike for four days of networking, conferences and dedicated exhibitions. Featuring everything across the international property sectors from office, residential, retail, healthcare, sport, logistics and industrial—offering unrivalled access to the greatest number of development projects and sources of capital worldwide.
The conference programme this year focuses on A new deal for real estate, to address the impact of the geo-political and economic challenges facing the real estate industry. In order to create new sources of growth, stakeholders need to adapt and rethink their strategies by collaborating with new players and creating new forms of business. As an expert on this, Lee, will be contributing to the session on Hotel & Tourism: How to rethink hotels facing millennials’ expectations. Using leading project JO&JOE as an example will allow Lee to inspire and lead innovative thinking into how the market needs a refresh in order to appeal to new market demands.
We just hope that Lee can bring some sunshine back with him to London!
