PENSON worked with AI.IO to transform part of MAHD Sports Academy into a next-generation performance environment. Integrated within the existing training facilities, the sports lab combines sprint, agility and skills testing with sensor-enabled surfaces, digital displays and performance analysis technology — creating a space where physical training and data work together.
Athletes can move through a series of guided tests measuring areas such as speed, power, reaction, agility and movement efficiency, with performance data translated into immediate, meaningful feedback. The environment was designed not simply to house the technology, but to make the testing journey intuitive and engaging for athletes, coaches and visitors alike.
Over a series of high-level presentations, PENSON and AI.IO demonstrated how real-time performance data could support athlete development, talent identification and injury prevention within MAHD Sports Academy. The pilot was presented at the highest levels in Saudi Arabia, including to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, highlighting the potential for AI-powered performance testing to be rolled out at scale and supporting MAHD’s wider ambition to discover and nurture the next generation of Saudi athletes.
