To give you a better understanding of the people behind the sleek interiors of Sports Direct’s HQ, we decided to put down our tools for a moment and throw our doors wide open: every now and again we introduce you to one PENSONite where they share their weekend game plan with you. PENSON’s work is a bi-product of never-ending research and heated discussions over a cuppa. A lot of our ‘work’ gets done in our spare time: reading books, flicking through magazines, visiting exhibitions and trade shows, going to gigs, pinteresting – we draw inspiration from everyday life.
This week we have Paul, our Senior Architectural & Technical Designer. Paul’s leading one of our large-scale workplace schemes – and large-scale it is – 4 years so far in the making, with 2 to go! Paul is helping our client to transform their workplace strategy, with a focus on sustainability and team collaboration. Once a resident Londoner through and through, Paul now spends his time in charming Kent and his weekends are never dull. A keen cyclist, he loves to get out in the outdoors whenever he can and any recommendations for weekend activities always go down well in the studio. You can guarantee a few weeks later we’ve all followed suit and tried a country trail or one of his many recommended restaurants around Borough Market!
Look At This: I love Martin Parr’s work and he has a new exhibition very Aptly titled ‘Only Human‘ on at the National Portrait Gallery which continues his love of all things British! I’ll pop in next week on way through town. It runs from the 7th March to 27th May 2019.

Read This: This I going to hurt by Adam Kay – simultaneouslyy hilarious and tragic – I can’t put it down. You’ll have your eyes opened the next time you’re a patient within the NHS!
Eat This: You can’t beat fresh homemade curry with family & friends. A great gift from Christmas – I’m becoming a Curry King with a little help from the Spicery.com

See This: House of Cards – Just got into it (a little late I know)

Drink This: Good Coffee – it’s my family’s weekend treat!
Watch This: Fighting with my Family by Stephen Merchant. A cool real-life English story of a girl making it in WWE.

Do This:
Go Bike riding with the kids down in Bedgebury Forest trails (54.5 miles from London) & have a bonfire at home in the garden (if your neighbours don’t have any washing out!). It’s the simplest pleasures that are the best!
