With Christmas only 5 days away, and no clue where the time has gone, the time to make the most of the vast amount of Christmas markets London has on offer is now… While most of the PENSON team have already frequented the one and only Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park – we’ve chosen a selection of the best Christmas markets in London to eat, drink, and purchase as many handmade decorations as your pockets (and purses!) allow for!
Easily our favourites at PENSON, as it’s literally on our doorstep… The bank of the Thames gets a festive overhaul – lined with over 60 Christmas huts serving everything from chocolate churros to artisan gin and tonic, it’s also a treasure trove of festive design inspiration! We particularly love the chalet style event space, with its individual ‘Christmas hut’ seating booths…
With no excuses needed for a reason to visit the Tate, AND get a good dose of festive fun – their Christmas market is a must … after drinking copious amounts of mulled wine, eating delicious street food, and buying personalised decorations, you can wander into the Tate to defrost and soak up some culture too…
Featuring stalls from independent designers and makers, graduate art from UAL, and workshops from the Design museum, this Christmas market is a design lovers’ dream! The collaboration with Crafty Fox is definitely worth checking out too…
The Maltby Street Christmas market is less about handmade gifts… and all about food!! Crammed with all the best street food that London has to offer, it’s the ultimate festive evening – wandering from stall to stall, enjoying seasonal snacks from around the world, and taking in the atmosphere! While you’re there, it’s also a great chance to appreciate the quirky architecture as all the stalls are nestled into the Victorian viaduct of the Greenwich – London railway.
Rounding up their 4 part Christmas takeover, this weekend Netil Market will send us into the final Christmas week with ‘The Bottle Bonanza!’ – celebrating all things boozey and festive! With special guests such as Forest Road Brewery, Sin Gusano, and Proper Natural Wines – you’ll find gifts galore (and maybe a bottle or two for yourself!)…
