PENSON's Pick | London's Top Working Spaces

By Rosie Furlong

minimalist white co-working space

Whether you’re a hot desk hero, or simply looking for a quiet haven amongst the hustle of London’s life, we’ve compiled some of our favourite work away from work spaces – amazing interiors that provide endless inspiration – and more often than not, seriously good coffee…

The Greenhouse N16:

With its leafy interiors and rustic furniture, you could be forgiven for thinking you’d walked into a secretive London Spa… But don’t be fooled, The Greenhouse N16 is a hub for professionals looking for a place to work, collaborate, and create.

The Ministry:

Described as ‘the antithesis to a nightclub environment’, The Ministry is the cool new kid on the block, brought into being through the collaboration of Ministry of Sound, and Squire and Partners. A resurrected printing factory has been restored to it’s former glory… and some!

Look Mum No Hands!

One key element to working hard (or hardly working) … is coffee. Look Mum No Hands! is a quirky café, where you’re just as likely to network with professionals, as you are to get your bicycle fixed! Its interior is an eclectic mix of all things bikes, recycled features, and pendulum lighting – no office cubicles here!

Wellcome Collection Reading Room:

Part gallery; part library; part exhibition space, the reading room in Wellcome Collection is a totally unique work space. Having turned the grand staircase into carpeted and cushioned auditorium style seating, it’s the perfect place to sit back and lose yourself to your work.

Hoxton Shoreditch

Lingering in a hotel lobby doesn’t usually sound like the ideal workspace – but Hoxton Hotel Shoreditch hosts a busy network of professionals who work from within their space. This transformation of space, from a dead waiting area, to a busy office out of office hive, is genius. Leather sofas, exposed brick walls and comfy armchairs give it an old-school, study vibe – the ideal setting for powering through a work session.

Co-Work SOHO

Co-Work’s fifth office is the bright and light answer to co-working as we know it. Set amongst the most buzzing area of London, it’s an office environment like no other… bursting with colour and character, there’s nothing ordinary about this space… and there shouldn’t be, after all, we designed it!
